Messagebunker is a free online e-mail backup that works in the background. I have just signed up for it and I will report back in a few days. If it works it will fill a major gap for clients who are vulnerable to loss of their e-mails. The website is www.messagebunker.com. More later. UPDATE

After a couple of weeks of using message bunker I am happy to report no problems to date.

Whilst I have not needed this facility in earnest yet, a natural paranoia makes me think I may well need it in future.

My major concern is that the facility is currently free, but the proprietors of the system have, unsurprisingly, reserved the right to charge for the facility.

Again, you cannot get "summat for nowt" indefinitely!
