PostHeaderIcon Fake Virus Warnings on Your Screen

Sunday, 14 December 2008 00:20 | Author: Administrator | PDF Print E-mail

Despite Recent US Government moves to clamp down, PC screens continue to show fake "virus alerts". These are invariable a way of trying to prise money from you and accepting a "free scan"can lead to installing very difficult trojans/Viruses and other nasties.

If you get a warning, just close the box (Use the red cross at the top) If you cant see the red cross press contol and alt and delete simultaneously and close the pop up (it will show as an application) Ring me if you need help. Never accept an unsolicited offer of a free scan. Don't panic.

Here is an interesting BBC article about this type of thing.
